DaNcErKeL86
Has anyone heard anything about the callaboration between the Joffrey Ballet School and Pace University Department of Performing Arts? I know it has been under negotiations for the past year and is currently being submitted to the state of New York for approval and registration. The program is supposed to start in the Fall of 2005. If anyone has any insight on this please let me know! Quote Link to comment
Mel Johnson
This program had been instituted as a course at the New School University, but the funding estimates for it had been miscalculated, and it was discontinued after a couple years, only allowing those students who had enrolled to complete their degree requirements. A revived and revised program under the auspices of Pace has been begun, with a new and far more accurate budget. As the school is in New York, the State Education department has a responsibility to monitor the program, but the real authority is the Northeast College Accreditation Bureau. That way, the degree has some meaning. Contact Edith D'Addario at the Joffrey Ballet School for details of the program at the Joffrey end, and Pace University for details at the college end. balletgirl22sk
One of my students recently heard from Pace that she was accepted. This is her first choice- especially since it is in NYC! Quote Link to comment
