Administrators Victoria Leigh Posted January 24, 2005 Administrators Report Share Posted January 24, 2005 dedancer, if your achilles hurts with whatever kind of stretching you are doing, DON'T DO IT!!! How are you stretching them? Are you using a theraband? The most important thing is to learn to use your feet really well. Work on your tendus, dégagés, and pas de chevals and learn to really articulate with your feet. This will improve them as much or maybe more than stretching! Link to comment

born2bprima
Hi I also have a "chinerina"( i think thats what it is called) and it doesn't really hurt but yes when I am done streching my feet, my achilles tendon feels like it needs to be stretched so I usually just stretch it after I'm done with the chinerina. I hope I'm not hurting my achilles!?! Link to comment
Administrators Victoria Leigh Posted February 5, 2005 Administrators Report Share Posted February 5, 2005 Any device that is making the achilles tendon hurt is NOT a good idea. Back off for a while and see if it is better. dedancer, the top part is the instep. The arch is the underneath part. Link to comment
