Hi all

 

Hope everyone in the NE survived the storm (brrrr...).

 

My post topic pretty much sums up my question - I'm know the Harkness Center offers an assessment for dancers and was wondering if this is geared toward all dancers, or only pre-pro students and pros.

 

Does anyone have any experience with the assessment? Would it be worth it for a 23 year old recreational dancer?

My daughter had the assessment and they were terrific. I think they welcome all, but you should call to confirm.

Here is a link where you should be able to get a good idea of all that they do: The Harkness Center for Dance Injuries. Adults are definitely dancers. Be sure to click on Patient Services and from there you'll see Injury Prevention.

I sincerely doubt that it matters what country anyone comes from - if it does, I'll be shocked and stunned.

I think they charge a reduced fee for dancers with limited or no insurance. You should ask

Or you can get a rider on your HIP that covers things that happen in the States. I have friends who do this whenever they travel south.
