Oh, I'm taping that Everwood episode (I have class when it's on :)). I usually find that in sitcoms or tv shows, portrayals of ballet are pretty unrealistic, so we'll see. I'll be sure to report back!

I saw the preview of Everwood! It looks ok, I'm going to watch it. I can't wait until Made! I wonder who the person is....

I think that it's a boy who participates in ballet on Made.

I also saw the preview for Everwood, and one of the girls had pretty-decent feet, and the pointe shoes looked normal, so it might be good. (You know, not ribbons tied to the knees.) :)

I remember that character danced in one of the first season episodes of Everwood. The actress must have classical training if they keep bringing up that plotline. She certainly LOOKS like a dancer. Very poised.

it's not on yet here. I can't wait! I'll tell you guys all about it tomorrow after school. I'd tell you sooner, but I have to go to bed when it's over.

Made was filmed at the ROck School-I think its some boy from Delaware with the ROck kids as background and class mates for whatever the story line is.

I managed to watch Everwood last night. I was sad there was so little dancing but what there was seemed realistic. As far as I could tell they didn't have a stunt double so I am guessing she was a dancer at some point in her life.

I am going to have to set the DVR for Made if I can remember!

I've never seen the show, but I seem to recall an article in Pointe Magazine containing an interview with that actress. If I recall correctly, the writers and producers found out after she got the part that she had serious dance training, and decided to add that to the character... art (loosely speaking) imitating life.

I didnt like the episode. It made me mad how they put such an emphasis on how Amy was "too fat" and all... I think things like that are just adding to the public's misconceptions about ballet...I mean your body is a big part of ballet...but not all of it, and it most certainly is not the only thing involved... I just wish that people could see ballet for what it really is...not just a bunch of anorexic unhappy people w/ bloody toes :)

Dance Like This, there is a button under your post that says EDIT. You can use that to add to your post instead of making another one. You are not going to get to the BB any faster by making one sentence posts! :) And you do know that the Brag Board posts don't count, right? :)
