I am cast as Puck in my studio's production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. I have the costume worked out already, but I don't know what to do for makeup. Since Puck is more of a character part, I didn't want to just do run of the mill stage makeup.:) Any ideas? Thanks!

How about camouflage? In his first speech of the play (which is rather famous), the character says how he can be anywhere, unseen, in order to pull mischief on people.

I would do something with green tones, as he is a forest fairy. Also, depending on your costume/production, some glitter might be nice. He is, after all with the fairies, and not exactly the manliest creature around.

I suggest asking your director what his/her vision is for you, and if he/she has any advice to give. Go straight to the source!
