Skittl1321
I can't make it, but I certainly hope enough people do that schools realize the adult market will pay for intensives! I would love to go away one summer. Quote Link to comment
Guest milky
duckie9876, do you have any more information? There didn't seem to be much on the website. I probably can't go, but we have a lot of friends in the area and I'm having a little daydream that we could plan a vacation around the intensive . Now, to convince my husband.... duckie9876
The only info I have is that the classes are from 6:30 to 9 pm on those dates and that the classes offered will be variations, technique classes, pointe classes, and ballet of course. Hope you can come! Just plan on a vacation around that time and you'll be free in the daytime and on thursday and friday, unless of course, you are in too much pain to move (heheh). I will post more as soon as I find out. I suspect that things are just not finalized because there is also a youth summer intensive going on and I imagine that the teachers have to work out their schedules. I can PM you when I have more details. duckie9876, do you have any more information? There didn't seem to be much on the website. amatol
ooh not that far, it would be tempting! but it really doesn't seem like they are offering that many classes?? only 2.5 hours a day, that would barely be 2 classes at most... but maybe I'm reading the information wrong. Tiffany
Some SIs for teenage ballet students will let adult students be RAs/counselors, and in some cases you can get your room/board/tuition waived, get a salary, and still get to take class! Different places offer different combinations of the above. Unfortunately I won't be going away this summer but I have gotten to go away 2 other summers! Of course, the students in the class won't be adults, but that is how it is for me at home; we have 2 other dancing adults but the rest are high school students or younger. Quote Link to comment
Guest milky
Hi Duckie - thanks for the offer! I'm not quite at the PM level yet, but hopefully I will be by the time you get more information? My best friend and childhood ballet buddy lives in Fremont, and I've nearly got her talked into starting ballet again so we could go together! So maybe I'll actually be there. Quote Link to comment
