Back in body weight with leg a la seconde?

Lately I've been working hard on keeping my bodyweight forward, not back in my heels. However, when my leg is in a la seconde, especially when lifted, I feel like I'm so far back I can barely get out of my leg. Is this because I am forcing turnout on the supporting leg? Or maybe because the leg to the side is not turned out enough? I want to fix this problem but I'm not sure where to start.

Help please,

Most likely you are trying to get your leg too far to the side.
