mcrm55
Does anyone know whether there is a video of Balanchine's Coppelia? Quote Link to comment
LRS
mcrmm55- Try posting on the Ballet Talk section of this web site. I believe there is a video category over there! Good Luck! Quote Link to comment
Mel Johnson
There was a "Live from Lincoln Center" presentation of it, but Balanchine was so unhappy with it, that he refused permission for distribution of that performance through video sales. Quote Link to comment
BW
I wonder if you went ove to the Performing Arts Library right there at Lincoln Center if they might have some films you could view, right there? I'd use them as my starting point, or perhaps one of your daughter's teachers might just happen to know where she or he could put his hands on some long forgotten video tape. The Balanchine Trust has been working on a "revised and digitized version of Choreography by George Balanchine: A Catalogue of Works" - so perhaps you might give them a call, as well?
