henderson1111
I am hoping someone out there can help me find an adult ballet group in Charlotte, NC. I am taking one class a week at a local community center but really want the chance to advance and possibly perform. Any one out there who can give me some advice would be much appreciated!! Thanks!! AnneT
Have you tried the North Carolina Dance Theatre? I've taken classes there when I've been in Charlotte. What about UNC-Charlotte? Do they have a dance program? Quote Link to comment
nehta13
HI! I was actually contemplating moving to Charlotte and did some research on dance there myself... This list from yellowpages seems to be the best I have been able to find. It does include different dance studios (belly dance, for example) and may have some dancewear stores but there are also a lot of options for ballet studios. The great thing about it is that some of the schools have websites so you may get some information about them before you call but I would think that to get the details, especially about the availability of adult classes, it'd be best to call them! Follow this link: http://yellowpages.superpages.com/listings...D=3378000036504. http://www.ncdance.org/school.htm is the NC Dance Theatre School website. They have intermediate/advanced classes for age groups 13+/15+, so you may be able to take those. If not, they have open classes in beginner and intermediate ballet, tap and jazz. Good luck! I am sure you will be able to find a good school! Charlotte is a big city and a student city, too! Quote Link to comment
