odette922
I was wondering is it even possible to get Clara when you are a little bit tall. My favorite part ever is Clara and I was hoping for it this year but it didn't happen. But I was hoping I could get it next year, with my height 5'4? What do you think? Quote Link to comment
Mel Johnson
A lot depends on how your company sees Clara. Is she supposed to be a little girl, a la NYCB, or an adolescent who dances the Act II pas de deux, a la Baryshnikov's version? Quote Link to comment
odette922
Well, she is supposidly a little girl but every year it changes, once it was even a 10th grade girl, this year it was a short dancer and a dancer taller than me, but she is the directors cousin. Quote Link to comment
Guest xballetdreamsx
At my company, Clara always does the pas de deux. Last year it was a 16 and a 17 year old. This year, it's a 17 year old (the 16 year old who did it last year is doing it again.) and a 14 or 15 year old. Our teachers say that Clara can't be too short or too tall... Quote Link to comment
odette922
Hopefully my teachers think that. I would give anything to be my favorite part! Quote Link to comment
