PinkShoes24
This summer, rather than going to CPYB for a ballet intensive, i thought it would be a nice change if i go to summer intensive for modern. But as i was looking at my January issue of Dance Spirit! magazine under SI's for the summer, some offer contemporary, while others do modern. so, basically, i want to know, what's the difference between modern and contemporary?? Thanks! Quote Link to comment
Mel Johnson
Contemporary is nearly a meaningless term, unless you're in Britain, where it means "modern". Anything happening right now is "contemporary" including a class in Bournonville technique. Quote Link to comment
