qtpiedanzer01
Mrs. Leigh what is happening to Washington Ballet if you can discuss it? if the company goes under will the school also close down? Quote Link to comment
Mel Johnson
Before Ms. Leigh has a chance to answer, I just want to point out that they were asking the same questions in the 1970s, when the old National Ballet collapsed (but for a completely different reason). For some reason, schools are more resilient than companies. The Ballet Russe school stayed in operation long after the company closed. The Joffrey moved to Los Angeles, then to Chicago. The school is still in the West Village in NYC. Go figure. Quote Link to comment

Administrators Victoria Leigh Posted December 30, 2005 Administrators Report Share Posted December 30, 2005 The school will still be here, and let's all hope the company will be too! I have no information on the company right now. Quote Link to comment
