Alwaysthelast
Hi everyone, I have been taking dance since I was small, and have alkways hoped to go "en pointe." I was just woindering if anyone has any techniques on improving these few things: -pointe in toes -pirhouettes -Over all muscle tone Thanks for your time, Always the last Quote Link to comment
Administrators Victoria Leigh Posted January 6, 2006 Administrators Report Share Posted January 6, 2006 Alwaysthelast, welcome to Ballet Talk for Dancers! The answers are in the work....class work. For the feet: Tendus, tendus, tendus, and more tendus! For the pirouettes: Alignment, weight placement, strength of the relevé in the pirouette position, use of the upper body and back muscles on the turning force, use of the head, control of the arms. For overall muscle tone: Classes, classes, and more classes, and add some Pilates training. Quote Link to comment
