maineballet
I know I'm asking the impossible but I think I left my canvas bag at Boston Ballet Today at the San Francisco audition. It has all of the dd's photos, letters etc. that we need for auditions. Does anyone know how to get a hold of someone that might be there tomorrow. All I can get right now is answering machines. I went from Boston Ballet to Francesca's for chai and then to the 505 garage. I have called all three places and have so far had no luck. I am going back to Boston on Monday for more auditions, but I need to locate that bag. If anyone has any brilliant ideas I would love to hear them. Thanks in advance!!!! maineballet
I want to add that the bag is a white LLBean back with black trim. I left it outside studio 3. Thanks Maine Ballet Quote Link to comment
vagansmom
Have you tried emailing any of the staff? Quote Link to comment
maineballet
Vagansmom, I e-mailed the contacts on the website which just say school, box office, retail etc. If you have any staff e-mail addresses that would be great. I know they have class tomorrow, so I'm just hoping that I can get someone on the phone. Maine Ballet Quote Link to comment
mini cooper
We were there a week ago Sunday. It was a pretty happening place around noon. There were classes going on for small kids. I called to get information about parking, and caught someone on the phone at the main #. After early afternoon, it cleared out except for those doing the Washington audition. I would suggest that you call mid to late morning tomorrow morning. Good luck. I just realized it was you maineballet.....you were there, too. However, you probably did not try to call since you knew what you were doing! Try in the morning. Quote Link to comment
maineballet
Thanks Mini Cooper, I'm so upset that I didn't even realize that I had been there on a Sunday. I will call tomorrow. Thanks. Maine Ballet Quote Link to comment
DON HO
Maine Ballet, I can really empathize with you, we had the exact same thing happen to us two years ago, although we didn't realize it until we were leaving for the next day's audition! Needless to say, DD and I were in full panic mode, and detoured to the stops we had made the previous day -- with no luck. We decided to go to the audition anyway and explained the situation to the auditioners. Thankfully they were VERY understanding, DD did the audition and was accepted. Hope you have better luck than we did, isn't audition season wonderful??? Quote Link to comment
maineballet
Boston Ballet called and they have our bag!!!! Yeah!!! Thanks for everyone's support. I can't wait until audition season is over!! Maine Ballet Quote Link to comment
vagansmom
Congratulations, MaineBallet! What a relief, huh? Whenever something like this happens, it always reinvigorates my faith in people being good. Last year, my daughter did a Saturday audition at City Center in NYC for a professional company. She had borrowed a friend's best leotard, custom made at Class-In. Well, you guessed it - she left it in a bathroom stall at City Center. She was heartsick over it but kept calling. We thought it was hopeless because there was another huge company audition later that afternoon so a lot of people filtered in and out of that bathroom, the only one available. But not only was it found still in the stall that night by the cleaning people, but City Center also shipped it off to daughter free of charge. What kindness! So glad yours is a happy ending too. maineballet
Vagansmom, Yes I was relieved and pleased that no one took the bag. After all there was nothing in the bag that would mean anything to anyone else. Also it had my list of all the great restaurants and travel info that I got from all the BA friends for our trip to New York next weekend. So now we can go and have a great time. And from now on I need to make sure I have everything before I leave!!! Maine Ballet Quote Link to comment
Fiz
I am so glad you got it back all right! I have left books and a whole pile of C.D's I lent to a boy who wanted a 'Saturday Night Fever' birthday party at my daughter's old ballet school and everything was returned. Maybe dancers are naturally wonderful people! Fiz. Quote Link to comment
Mel Johnson
Thanks for the good news, it upholds my faith in dancers as good folk, and in Boston Ballet in particular. It has a long-standing reputation for being a respecter of persons, especially students. Quote Link to comment
