I try to take my teachers advice and remember the little string all dancers have attached to our heads and sometimes I try to push the opposite shoulder foward but it still hurts ..........any suggestions??? Administrators Victoria Leigh Posted January 25, 2006 Administrators Report Share Posted January 25, 2006 Approach an attitude the same way you should an arabesque, which is moving forward and upward over the supporting leg. The lower back must not crunch, it must lift up out of your hips and lengthen. The only way to do that is to move your weight forward and the upper body forward and up over the standing leg. You must find your "control zone" in attitude, just as in arabesque. This is something someone who can see you must correct. Quote Link to comment
