dancegirl14
First I have to say that this is a really good site. I love it . But here is my question: Many talks about when they got their first tutu. I wonder when and why you use tutu's? This is maybe a silly question but I just startet on taking ballet, so I dont know very much about it ... Andrea ps. If I posted this on the wrong place, feel free to delete it. Mel Johnson
Hello, Andrea and welcome to Ballet Talk for Dancers. A tutu is used mostly in performances of Classical or Romantic ballets or in the variations from them, if they are being presented separately. More advanced students will also use them in Variations class, in order to see what the "stage picture" of the dancer is when in costume. Quote Link to comment
