missy12784
I see many dancers that wear colorful hip belts but I was just wondering if they really work on hip alignment? To me, they seem more like a fashion statement. http://www.discountdance.com/frame_set.php3?mf=/search.php Link to comment
Mel Johnson
They don't work particularly well for showing hip alignment. I find that they cover more than they reveal. Worn low, they make the legs look shorter. About the waist, that's OK. Link to comment
Administrators Victoria Leigh Posted February 13, 2006 Administrators Report Share Posted February 13, 2006 I will not allow them in my classes if worn on the hips. On the waist they are tolerable, but anything worn around the hips breaks the line, does nothing at all for alignment, and, as Mr. J said, makes your legs look SHORTER. Why in the world would anyone want to do that??? missy, this topic has been discussed to death and I simply cannot tolerate another thread on this. Sorry, topic closed. Link to comment
