Administrators Victoria Leigh Posted March 26, 2006 Administrators Report Share Posted March 26, 2006 Hello sugarplum239, welcome to Ballet Talk for Dancers How fortunate that you will have professional partners for your first experience in pas de deux! Don't worry about how to handle yourself, just pay close attention to the teacher, and also allow your partner to help you. The early pas de deux classes are usually just about placement and balance, so all you have to do is maintain your center, stay very lifted out of your legs, and he does the rest! If your technique and pointe work are strong, you should not have any difficulty with pas de deux. It's fun! I would like to ask you to please not use abbreviations and numbers for words on Ballet Talk. We have members from countries all over the world, and I don't think they would get it with "ne1". I will edit your post for you to correct that, however. Quote Link to comment
