Volkmar
Dear all, yesterday I found in Doris huphrey's book The art of dancing some mentonings of José Limóns ballets Exile and There is a Time. I would like to get more informations about these ballets and José Limón. Can anyone help me? With best greetings from Trier, Volkmar Quote Link to comment
ballet1612
I took a Limon workshop a few years ago and found the teachers to be very knowledgeable Limon history. I would recommend contacting the Limon School/organization in New York if you want specific info. They are very nice there. Quote Link to comment
Mel Johnson
Limon was one of Humphrey's students. His discipline was Modern Dance rather than ballet, but he structured and refined it so, that it, like Graham and Jooss techniques, became the kind of Modern that could make the crossover to be danced by classically-trained dancers. Amy Reusch
You could try the Limon company's website: Limon Dance Company Quote Link to comment
