Leg Lifts

Hey!

 

I have been doing some pilates and stuff at home in between classes ending and my SI starting (VSA for 5 weeks, yay!) and I have been having some weird things happening. When I do leg lifts (lying down, shoulders off ground, both legs lift together then lower) my tailbone keeps popping. It isn't really cracking, just popping in and out of place. It doesn't hurt, just feels uncomfortable. Has anyone had this happen to them? What is it?

Either keep the shoulders on the ground when you do that, or use a thicker pad to lie on. My suspicion would be that you are cracking the bottommost abdominal vertebra at its juncture with the sacrum. The sacrum and coccyx (tailbone) don't move without much pain.
