Guest SynchroSk8ter13
I'm a figure skate and I just began skating on a new team. On this team we all take ballet together to learn better form and grace. Well everyone else on this team is way ahead of me because they've been taking ballet for years. Skating is so time consuming and expensive (as I'm sure dance is too) I don't have the time or money to take extra ballet classes. I was wondering if anyone knew of any good websites to guide me in practacing and learning? Thanks a billion! Emilie p.s. I'm really sorry if there's a topic similar to this already I looked and didn't see one Quote Link to comment
Administrators Victoria Leigh Posted July 23, 2006 Administrators Report Share Posted July 23, 2006 Hello Emilie, welcome to Ballet Talk for Dancers I think you have found the best website for learning about ballet. However, learning about ballet, and learning ballet are two different things. The only way you can learn to skate is by studying it with a teacher, and the same goes for ballet. Classes with a highly qualified teacher are the only way. Something that is important in improving your skating, as ballet certainly is, must become a priority. When something is a priority, one usually will find a way to do it. Quote Link to comment
