berry66
My hamstrings are sore from class the other day. And they're doing the thing where the more you stretch them the tighter they get. When I learned to massage, they said you never massage tendons. But my hamstrings feel better when I massage them. Did they mean don't massage other people's tendons so you don't injure those people? Or is it bad to massage your own tendons too? thanks Quote Link to comment
Administrators Victoria Leigh Posted August 3, 2006 Administrators Report Share Posted August 3, 2006 Berry, hamstrings are muscles, not tendons, so massage is not a problem. Quote Link to comment
dancindaughter
What exercises/massaging do you recommend to loosen tight hamstrings? Please move if this question is more appropriate in another section. Quote Link to comment
sballetgrl
How come you aren't supposed to massage tendons? When I was in physical therapy fot tendonitis, the therapist always massaged my leg!! Quote Link to comment
