pointebabe4ever
Today I recieved some information from Webster University in the mail. It says that it has a ballet based dance major. I've never heard of it and I was wondering if anyone else has and what their thoughts on it are. Quote Link to comment
Hope
I go to Webster University. The program def has some strong dancers and some not so strong dancers. They used to let anyone in the program and now they have become very picky and only let very few in. They are def growing as a program. They are ballet and modern based but also have tap and jazz and many other dance styles. Iyun Harrison has started teaching there and without him I do not think I would have the technique i do now. He is an amazing teacher. I really recommend Websters program, its small so you get alot of individual attention plus they are starting to get more competitive on who they pick to help the program grow. Quote Link to comment

shewantstodance
My DD auditioned for this program this fall on campus. The program is small and the faculty seem very engaged and supportive of the dancers. It has a family feel to it. DD felt it was very modern focused, although they offer a Ballet BFA. shewantstodance
She auditioned for the BFA in Ballet. Michael Uthoff is on faculty and she had class with him for the ballet portion of her audition. She also did a modern class and presented a solo piece. The BFA students sat in for her solo and were very encouraging. Quote Link to comment
