Guest kizezz14311
I'm wondering about The SI at Boston Ballet or ABT or something along those lines of a well known professional company. How good do you have to be to get in? What kind of moves should you have down perfectlty (pirouhettes fouettes, etc.) How many years should you have already been on pointe? I am really interested in t\doing next summer's SI, preferably for Boston Ballet... Any advice?? Link to comment
Administrators Victoria Leigh Posted August 30, 2006 Administrators Report Share Posted August 30, 2006 kizezz, this is really not something accomplished by numbers of turns. At your age you would be expected to be in the top level of ballet technique. It's not about number of years, but your physical ability, technical ability, and quality and quantity of training. Most of the top level SI programs would expect someone 17 or older to be close to company ready and show the potential for a professional career. Perhaps if you tell us a bit more about your training we might be able to give you a better idea of where you would be in terms of ballet technique. Link to comment
