aletheia146
At my summer intensive one of our modern teachers did a combination across the floor that was in 5/4 with no real melody (the accompanist was sort of improvising). It was challenging at first (I'm a classical type of person and the music was irregular and atonal) but it was fun and really changed how I listened to the music. It also challenged me to move freely even when the counts and choreography were unfamiliar to me. Quote Link to comment
BlackLaceTutu
We almost always use classic piano. But on random days a teacher will pull out classic rock, or hip hop! It's a nice change, but I usually prefer piano, or music from a ballet (with violin, ect.) Quote Link to comment
