ProudMom
Yes, minors take classes with majors. All freshman (majors & minors) take basic classes (Ballet I, Contemporary I, Intro to Dance, etc) so your DD could move up after finishing those lower level classes. In fact, I think students completing a minor may be required to take upper level courses at some point. At the Fall Concert performance last weekend, there were at least 2 students on the stage who were dance minors, not majors. I don’t think there is anything to prevent them from performing - there are open auditions for student choreography showcases and other smaller shows as well. I’ve not heard of any complaints having the Band/Music students in the same building. Also, dance majors typically have classes all over campus and I know there are dance majors who attend classes at the Darla Moore business building. Quote Link to post

ProudMom
I found this on-line: https://www.sc.edu/study/colleges_schools/artsandsciences/theatre_and_dance/documents/curriculumguide-minor.pdf Good Luck with the college search and decisions! The business school at UofSC is amazing. Edited November 6, 2019 by ProudMom Quote Link to post
