TyneeDancer
I sweat a lot. I don't mind the actual sweating it's that it shows a lot. I get dark patches across my lower rib area. It's kind of embarrasing. Is there anything I can do about it? I've tried wearing a cami under my leo but I just got too warm. It's required that I wear burgandy so color change isn't an option either. Quote Link to comment
Mel Johnson
If it's a matter of uniform, then learn to care less. OTC anti-perspirant applied to the wet areas may help. Quote Link to comment
TyneeDancer
I figured it was a get over it kinda thing . There are other girls who sweat a lot like me but mostly their backs not their fronts. Quote Link to comment
PinkSpaghettiShoes
I get that problem. My mum says it's just natural and shows you're working, but I get really embarassed especially in front of my peers. My back gets really sweaty, and so does my front if I've got a lesson over 1 1/2 hours and it's a particularll hot day. Yuk! (LOL) anne Quote Link to comment
ElphieBean
I know it's embarrising, but it shows that you're working really hard! If you didn't break into a sweat once, then you should be worried. As long as you don't smell you're fine! ElphieBean xx Quote Link to comment

PinkSpaghettiShoes
if no-one else but yourself is breaking into a sweat does this mean you are the only one working hard or the other students are finding the class too easy? Hmm... anne xxx Quote Link to comment
Alysse
I found it really odd that you were embarrased about your sweat marks on your leotard. Every single girl in my class is sweating hard by the end, and at my studio, it just shows that you have worked extremely hard. My teacher actually expects us to. I find it really good and cleansing! kepp sweating! it shows you're working! Quote Link to comment
l321385
When we are working out , and someone asked for the AC to be turned on, guess what my teacher says... " It is not turning on until I see every one of you break some sweat" Quote Link to comment
PinkSpaghettiShoes
That makes me feel good. Cheers! It makes me feel like I'm right, good good. Anne Quote Link to comment
Dancerstar
I had a similar problem. You just have to get used to it. It shows that you are working hard! Quote Link to comment
kelseymeg
I found it really odd that you were embarrased about your sweat marks on your leotard. Every single girl in my class is sweating hard by the end, and at my studio, it just shows that you have worked extremely hard. My teacher actually expects us to. My teacher does the same. Every girl (and boy) in our class is practically dripping with sweat by the end of the class. If we don't sweat then our teacher thinks her class wasn't hard enough. I do sweat a bit easier then most of the other students though, and when I go to auditions for SIs, I'm usually the only one sweating as bad as I do. I get pretty disgusting, but I guess I've learned to love my sweat. haha. Quote Link to comment
PinkonPointe
Welcome to BT4D, kelsymeg!!! Quote Link to comment
ashleydancer
it really isn't a bad thing to sweat. sweating when you're excercising shows you've worked hard and had a good workout. teachers think it's a good thing to. My teacher acctually asks if we are sweaty and if not we have to do the combination again. Quote Link to comment
cutiepi
I think it is really good to sweat and it is a sign of work! Anyway, I have the opposite problem, which is I never sweat, even though I take a lot of classes and work well and everything. Everyone who takes class with me always comments on the mystery of my not sweating. Also, I drink so much water that I know it is not dehydration. Quote Link to comment
