BalletQt121
Okay,i have a question, am i taking too many classes? There have been several over-use injuries at my studio .And i also have a question how to prevent over-use injuries from occuring? And how do over-use injuries occur? Is it by improper wam up or not using the right muscles? I just want to be extra extra careful this year because this is my first year of pointe. Currently i am taking 9 classes a week. I am taking six technique classes a week each 1 hr.30mins. 2 pointe classes. This is not includeing rehearseal. and one 2 hour jazz class I love Ballet, and i love taking these classes, but is there ever TOO much? Currently 13. Quote Link to comment
Mel Johnson
No, that's not too many classes. Now, are you doing too many things wrong in those classes, thus promoting overuse injuries, that's a different question, which would require a detailed observation in person over some time in order to answer.
