Mel Johnson Posted September 2, 2007 Report Share Posted September 2, 2007 Ideally, the eyes should be going toward the direction that the front of the face is pointing, but a quick-check in the mirror isn't out of order. RAD refers to it as "eye line". For a really interesting use of eye line that doesn't match what's happening to the characters onstage, see Jerome Robbins' "Afternoon of a Faun".
