Marjolein
This is my official goodbye to this forum as I am turning 23 in a week. I've been here so long, it'll be strange to move to the other forum. Here's my question. I have a short torso but very long arms (really very very long). They look very good in any port de bras, but I have the feeling they sort of keep me back in turns. Especially in chainés, these long arms seem to slow me down. Is it ok to keep them slightly closer to me and a bit rounder in order to gain speed? They just always seem to throw me off balance so far away from my center. Marjolein Link to comment
Mel Johnson
Sure! You can even cross them over one another slightly, or lower them a bit (or even both, but listen to your teacher!) as long as you maintain your placement to keep control over your balance in the turn. Link to comment
Administrators Victoria Leigh Posted December 1, 2007 Administrators Report Share Posted December 1, 2007 Just try to keep them as rounded as possible and don't let them get angular. Link to comment
