{Polina Fan}
I was wondering if yoga and back-bend contortion practice would be good for a ballerina? I have done lots of research on it, and my yoga teacher can refer me to a contortionist trainer in my area. Just curious :] -PF Quote Link to comment
vrsfanatic
My goodness PolinaFan, I am a bit taken aback by your question. Contortion has nothing to do with ballet although many students of gymnastics do become interested in ballet. While the flexibility of ballet may often be confused with contortion by some, it is an artform. Perhaps you need to speak with your teacher about your new interests! Quote Link to comment
Administrators Victoria Leigh Posted January 23, 2008 Administrators Report Share Posted January 23, 2008 Vrs said it very nicely, Polina Fan. I won't. Forget it. It will not help, and could hurt. It is not ballet and has nothing to do with ballet. Quote Link to comment
