Avery
Hello! I was a ballet dancer of 5 years, i took class 6 times a week, was accepted into many SI programs, and attended a pre-pro school, until July of 2007, when i decided to take a break. I'm 13, and i'd really love to get back into it, but is it still possible? I'd love some tips on learning how to slowly ease back into the ballet routine! Quote Link to comment
vrsfanatic
Welcome back Avery to the wonderful world of ballet! And welcome to Ballet Talk for Dancers. Please find some time to introduce yourself on the Welcome Forum! First you must choose a school that suits your needs. "Getting back" into ballet may mean different things to different people. Find a teacher who can advise you on what schedule may be best for you at this time. Foremost, remember just to enjoy moving to beautiful music again. It is a lovely experience. It helps us to remember why we do this. Quote Link to comment
Mel Johnson
And a break since July of last year is not so very long! Heck, I was on the injured list for that long, once! Quote Link to comment
