Administrators Victoria Leigh Posted July 3, 2008 Administrators Report Share Posted July 3, 2008 Hello exohiloveballet001, welcome to Ballet Talk for Dancers Acutally, it should be your teacher helping you with pirouettes rather than your friend. However, when you have consistent clean and well finished doubles, with a solid center and the ability to lift yourself up into the 4th or 5th position or wherever the turn is landing, then it really does not take much more to do three turns, eventually. But, the strength to maintain your center, and the ability to spot all three times, can take a while. Patience and hard work, and they will come. But remember, it's not the quantity, it's the quality when you are talking about ballet. By the way, we do not use text message speak here on Ballet Talk. We would appreciate it if you would spell out the words. We have members from all over the world here, and many speak English as a second language. I have corrected the title so that pirouette is spelled correctly. Quote Link to comment
