What not to do at the gym?

I go to the gym 3 days a week as well as ballet. I do light weights for strengthening my muscles, cycling, jogging and walking on treadmill and some rowing (rowing machine).

I also swim, but find this beneficial to my dancing as a can stretch my legs underwater etc.

I would like to know if any of these things are not compatible with dance? For instance, I heard running is bad if you dance.

The expertise here is in ballet, not gym workouts, but here are some recent discussions that you might find useful. Take some time to learn to use the Search function, and I'm sure you'll find more!

Don't fall off the rope climb, especially near the top. That's a good thing not to do at the gym. :sweating:
