partnering pirouettes

We have partnering wednesday for the first time at my si and I just had a question...

I'm really tall and have really long arms so when I do pirouettes with a partner in a normal first position my arms alway hit him. I generally just somehow find a way to move them out of the way or I circle my arms and put one hand over the other.

Is ther a technically correct way to have your arms in partnering pirouettes?

Thank You,

Sometimes it is necessary to slightly shorten the first position circle by crossing your arms a bit. Your teacher should help you with this. Pas de deux is great fun, and don't be at all concerned about your height. That is the partner's problem, not yours! All you have to do is maintain your center and try to trust your partner.
