WriteLife
Every year when my daughter gets her promotion notice it comes with a list of movements students at that level are expected to be able to perform cleanly by the end of the year. This term was on this list. I was curious as to what it means and what it looks like. My daughter says none of her teachers have ever used the term before in class and it isn't on her list of terms that students are expected to know and are tested on. Can anyone help? Thank you Kandi Quote Link to comment
Administrators Victoria Leigh Posted July 24, 2008 Administrators Report Share Posted July 24, 2008 Actually Kandi, it is "manège", which is any series of turns or steps that travel in a circle. Quote Link to comment
WriteLife
Thank you for the explanation. My daughter has done that before but obvioulsy the teachers failed to use the correct term. Kandi Quote Link to comment
Mel Johnson
They may have used the equally correct term "autour de la salle" or its English translation, "around the room". Quote Link to comment
