Guest *Lexie
I decided against even bothering to audition for elmhurst's sixth form for entry 2008 for two reasons: -I had no idea which a-levels I wanted to take, and the idea of them choosing them for me was scary -My Mother has no time for my dancing. I'm thinking of getting a combined honours in dance and something-sciency after A-levels, but is there anywhere I can go to study ballet properly so that there is actually some hope for my dancing? At school, the careers advisor promised to write off enquiring about funding, but never bothered, and there's no way my mother would pay even if we could afford it. I thought hanging on to academics was the best thing, but I really don't want to be a dentist =/ I'm just about to start Grade 7 (R.A.D.) and I'm nearly 17. Have I left it too late? balletpointe
search for funding details under the dance and drama awards, the RAD have there own degree course, check on the ucas web site, do a search for dance, contemporary dance and dance studies, it should also help explain about funding. Dance_Scholar_London
Here is a link to the DADA (dance and drama awards). It's competitive but not impossible. Good luck! http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/EducationAndLe...Drama/index.htm Quote Link to comment
