Alexei Ratmansky

I cannot express how happy I am that ABT has appointed Mr. Ratmansky as their artist in residence. NY ballet companies have been stagnant for so long...we just haven't seen great artistry in the dancers, staging and choreography. I have felt disappointed watching performances of both ABT and NYCB, because I have seen better dancing at the youth competitions, i.e., sloppy corps, lack of dynamic, little to no expression and artistry. I have been waiting for something like this for years! I thought NYCB would steal him after commissioning him for a couple of new works this year, and a few years past. Congrats to ABT! I love Alexei!!!!!!!!
