Magdalena
I'm not sure if this is the right forum to post this in, so please move it if there's someplace where it will be more appropriate. My ballet school is fairly small, and I always seem to be in the smallest class, so over the last couple years, I have gotten used to having almost unlimited space to work with. Now, whenever my class has class together with the next class, I feel crowded. I still have plenty of space; I don't bump into anyone else or anything like that, but I feel as if I don't have space. I especially have this problem at barre; someone can be several feet or even yards in front of me, and I still feel as if that's too close for me to dance as well as I could with more space. I know that I'm going to have to get used to working in large classes, and I'm going to have to get used to not having infinite space with which to work. Is there anything I can do to help me adjust? Administrators Victoria Leigh Posted October 19, 2008 Administrators Report Share Posted October 19, 2008 Since this is a question about class, I moved it to the YD forum. When it happens, you will learn to adjust to it. It will most likely be in an audition first, and then in an SI program. Dancers need to be very adaptable. Just go with the flow and deal with it. It's not that bad a thing. Quote Link to comment
