panda bear 16
whats the ddiffrence between a deemi point and reguluar soft shoe, is the demi point a shank less point shoe? Link to comment
Mel Johnson
Soft block/demi-pointe shoes are made like pointe shoes, only the box is much lighter, and it is not articulated with the midsole assembly, which is, in turn, not reinforced with a shank. Link to comment
panda bear 16
Should I wait for my teacher to tell me to buy them, I know girls in previous years have worn " dead" point shoes in class. What companies make demi points? What have others worn for there Intermediate exam? Link to comment
Clara 76
Grishko, Sansha, and Freed are some of the companies that make Demi-pointes (soft-blocks) if they are required for your exams. If you are allowed to de-shank an old pair of pointes, then I can probably help with that. I say "probably" because it depends on the brand and style pointe shoes. I can't answer your question about what exactly is required, and perhaps the best place to find that information out, would be your teacher. Link to comment
