Guest GemMetta
I am a dance major at a decent college; however, I feel they don't place much emphasis on becoming a ballet dancer. I want to dance professionally in a ballet company, and while I know this is the right school for me, I am starting to feel out of touch with the professional ballet world. :-( Other than reading Pointe magazines and watching lots of videos and still going to good SIs, does anyone have good tips for staying on track with dancing in a good ballet company after graduation? Thanks so much! Link to comment
Mel Johnson
If the mountain won't come to Mohammed, then Mohammed must go to the mountain. In other words, if your college is not offering ballet classes which you feel are fitting and proper to a vocational-track student, then you have to go off-campus to find a school which does have such classes. The other option is transfer. Good luck. Link to comment
