L' Allegro
The school I'm currently dancing at does not have sprung floors. I can't jump as high on the floors. I'm very careful about how I land in petite and grande allegro, but is that enough? I only have one more semester at the school and then I will have graduated. How concerned should I be, given its short term nature? How bad is it long term, purely for curiosity's sake? Thanks. Link to comment
Mel Johnson
Since it's only one semester, just bear with it until then. Use your plié fully, and make sure you use your feet thoroughly when going up or coming down. Longterm, the effect is to cause tendinitis, bone bruises, and related conditions. If you've avoided those, for the most part, count yourself lucky. Link to comment
