gav
The National Film Board is a federal government agency that produces and promotes Canadian film. Recently, the NFB began to add video content to its website, including (so far) one ballet piece by Norman McLaren called "Pas de Deux" (1968). I'll be watching the site -- www.nfb.ca -- for all sorts of material, including but certainly not limited to dance and other arts. Quote Link to comment
Mel Johnson
Yes, "Pas de Deux" is a great McLaren classic starring Margaret Mercier and Vincent Warren. Quote Link to comment
dancingawaymylifesavings
Some of their other videos in archives you can see clips of--there is a gorgeous one with Anna Marie Holmes and her husband performing Grand Adagio Quote Link to comment
insidesoloist
It must be right in front of me, but I can't figure out how you found the Grand Adagio video. Please do enlighten me if you get a moment! Quote Link to comment
gav
I believe it's here. And the entire collection of ballet videos in the NFB archive is listed here. Excerpts seem to be available for many of the videos -- could be all, I just haven't checked! Quote Link to comment
