The ending of a pirouette, no matter how many revolutions there are, must be an upward, not a downward movment. If you think of the turn as continuing upward as you lower the retiré leg to the 4th or 5th position, or wherever it is going, this will help. LIFT yourself into the positon instead of dropping or falling. This takes having your weight forward and under control, which means being very centered in your pirouette and still being at the very top of your relevé as the pirouette is finishing. To practice this try ending a pirouette without the retiré leg touching the floor, like ending in a fondu cou de pied front or back, or in an attitude or an arabesque.
