Weak Knees

Hi !

My friend at class is having a problem with her dancing especially when she goes on pointe..she says its because her knee strength is quite weak which i feel too. Is there anything that I can do to help her with strengthening her knees. thank you ! :yes:

Shobana, what needs to be strengthened are the muscles of the legs, like the quads especially, and the hamstrings and also the calf muscles. If one is dancing a lot, like technique classes 5 or 6 days a week, that should do it. But if not doing that much, and if one is not active otherwise, like sports and bike riding for instance, then I would suggest some Pilates or Gyrotonics work.
