Mornington
There's been a bit of coverage over the weekend in the English press about a tutu designed by Karl Lagerfeld at Chanel for Elena Glurdjidze, Senior Principal at ENB for their upcoming Ballet Russes tribute. Lagerfeld is also designing her a Dame aux Camelias dress, I believe. The Guardian has a nice piece about it and Chanel have posted the video mentioned in the article: http://www.guardian.co.uk/lifeandstyle/200...urdjidze-ballet http://www.chanel.com/fashion/7-fashion-tr...-fashion-trends (The Chanel page takes a little while to load) Lucky Glurdjidze! Doubleturn
Very interesting, thanks for posting that Mornington. The Chanel video of her dancing was lovely, a pity there wasn't any music though. The tutu looks lovely except for the feathers on the front of the bodice at the top, they stuck out too much and gave an odd line when she was in profile, almost like bust enhancers! Mornington
Agreed - those top feathers do look odd. "Slender ostrich plumes reaching upwards to tickle the neck.." sounds downright annoying to me! But I guess one must suffer for one's art.... Quote Link to comment
dancemaven
Aah, there was music when I played the video. Lovely. Quote Link to comment
