nycdancer Posted June 24, 2010 Report Share Posted June 24, 2010 I'm taking classes this summer after not dancing all year. I was never really flexible, and my turn out was never good. I am completely out of shape. I'm really nervous! I don't want to emabarrass myself. What should I do to prepare for classes? Quote Link to comment

Regardless, reconsider the reasons why you want to take class, and stay focused on that. The important thing is not that you're perfect, but that you're dancing! We all have strengths and weaknesses- focus on your strengths, and work on your weaknesses. Quote Link to comment

I went back to ballet after 4 years.. into a class of 9-10 year olds - I'm 14 , It was honestly the best thing i've done! I'm still in that class - grade 4 - but i'm also doing intermedite and got my first pointe shoes on monday JUST ENJOY IT!!! Quote Link to comment
