Has anyone here had really fair skin but had to be tan for a part in show? let me know if you have any techniques for going tanning without getting burned...i just hate the fake look of the sunless tanning cremes and the new "spray tans"

Open to any suggestions...sorry this isnt a complete dancer question

Sure - body makeup comes in all sorts of formulations, and when it's under light, distant from the viewer, it doesn't look fake until it starts rubbing off on somebody else's costume!

Depending on the amount of flesh exposed, a spay-on tan may be easier, as long as it looks natural.

Dude, it could be worse. Imagine doing the "Golden Idol" part in La Bayadere. Costume consists of a dance belt and a whole lot of gold paint.

Don't even bring that up. The studio owner talked about doing that this year while looking at me. After I got off the floor from laughing at her I then thanked god I had a spinal fusion which put me out for a while.
