rg
the incident described here took place in the final scene of act 3 of ABT's ROMEO AND JULIET, headed by Kevin Mckenzie and Natalia Makarova. in the Live from Lincoln Center telecast - which I don't think was ever released on DVD - McKenzie forgot to remove his warm-up/sweat pants and so had to perform the scene in the family crypt with his warm-up pants on, over his tights. Mel Johnson
A lot of people wondered about what happened after the stage manager and other artistic staff got hold of him, but I really think that he was such a good dancer, and had built up such a reputation in the "nice guy" bank, that he escaped relatively unharmed. Seeing as he's now the Artistic Director of the company, it didn't do him any lasting damage. A good lesson for building up credit in the "nice guy" bank! Quote Link to comment
