dress code

I don't know if this question belongs here so I apologize if it does not. There is a dress code at my studio of black leotard and pink tights but is it okay to wear things over it? I have seen people wearing shorts. Also what warmups are appropriate? Im just confused because I think it will be different in my new class then in just the summer one where they did not care as much what you wore over the leotard.

As with so much in class, if you want to know what's allowed and what isn't, ask the teacher.
